Sons of Ghidorah could rest on the sound they are noted for and the pedigree of all of the members combined experience and just create music that follows a path of sound and logic based on past releases……but they have chosen not to do that. Instead they have added new aspects to their sound creating a nuanced and intricate sound for their anticipated releases. New guitar tones, vocal inflections and stylings and a growth in song structure make their upcoming albums the bands finest releases to date. Seeking to challenge the listener, to bring a sonic joy and experience that satisfies while making one want to listen again and again, SoG find themselves able to push back against limitations and stereotypes that people often place on ‘metal’ music.
