BIO
Sons of Ghidorah is a New York-based heavy rock band born in the shadows of Gotham City. With roots in stoner rock and doom, Sons of Ghidorah have been compared favorably to bands such as Monster Magnet and Orange Goblin. Their music reflects wide array of influences including Black Sabbath, The Doors, Scorpions, UFO, David Bowie, and Alice Cooper; and the band also draws inspiration from both punk and progressive rock.
The band began as a recording project bringing together Christopher Konys, Mark Giuliano, and Carl Pace (Eternal Torment), and in 2014 they released their eponymous debut. Drummer Mike Plewinski joined SoG, and they were invited to participate in the Days of the Doomed festival in Wisconsin. Chris and Mark, SoG’s core collaborators, have a long history of collaboration in bands such as Demented Dream States and Lucertola.
